James Lee

Board Member since 2019

James Lee is a Houstonian, health care advocate, and board member of the Morales Memorial Foundation since 2019.

A native of the Rio Grande Valley, James went on to graduate from the University of Houston where he found a calling in health care policy. Today James serves as Government Relations Manager at Legacy Community Health, the state's largest community health center system, where he works with government officials, agencies, and community partners on policy and legislation focused on underserved communities across Southeast Texas.

James has been recognized as an Emerging Leader by the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a Rising Star by the League of Women Voters of the Houston Area. Today James serves on the board of the Hispanic Health Coalition and the City of Houston Hispanic Advisory Board.

James attends Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Houston, and lives with his partner Stephen and their two pets.
